Position Summary:

The Clinical Specialist is responsible for providing in-field case coverage, training surgical teams, supporting physicians intra-operatively, and ensuring proper handling and management of Calyxo’s CVAC system. This is not a sales-track role and focuses purely on clinical education, support, and device use optimization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical case coverage and training for CVAC procedures

  • Train surgical teams on device preparation and procedure support

  • Troubleshoot equipment and perform Quality Control audits

  • Assist with procedural training and support sales & marketing initiatives

  • Maintain and reconcile inventory

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and healthcare regulations

  • Collaborate with internal teams to drive positive clinical outcomes

  • Travel as needed (up to 80%)

  • Clinical & Professional Education Manager


Role Levels & Requirements:

Clinical Specialist I:

  • Requirements: Clinical experience

Clinical Specialist II:

  • Additional Requirements:

    • 1–3 years of industry experience

    • Prior employment as a Clinical Specialist or with Mobile Litho Providers

    • Comfortable with fast-paced, start-up environment

    • Willingness to travel nationally

Sr. Clinical Specialist:

  • Additional Requirements:

    • 3+ years full-time experience in a clinical specialist role in the medical device industry

    • Intraoperative coaching experience

    • Deep understanding of urology procedures

    • Staff training and fluent communication in OR environment

    • Knowledge of sales processes


General Requirements:

  • Experience in sterile surgical procedures

  • Fluoroscopy use is a plus

  • Strong customer and procedural skills

  • Medical degree/certification preferred (e.g. RN, LPN, Surg Tech, Rad Tech)

  • Must comply with vaccination laws

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Total Annual Compensation: $100,000 – $140,000

  • Base Salary: $80,000, $100,000, or $120,000 (DOE)

  • Annual Bonus: $20,000

  • Allowances:

    • Auto: $9,600

    • Cell/Internet: $1,800

  • Stock Options: Equity ownership

  • Benefits: 401(k), healthcare, paid vacation
