Position Overview:

The Clinical Research Assistant plays a vital role in supporting clinical research projects, assisting the Principal Investigator, and other research staff in coordinating studies. Responsibilities include acquiring patient specimens, extracting data from patient charts, providing administrative and regulatory support, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. This position also assists in patient recruitment, scheduling, and maintaining accurate research documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Study Documentation: Complete all study forms, including case report forms, and maintain regulatory documentation.
  • Compliance: Ensure studies are conducted in accordance with FDA, OHRP, GCP, and institutional guidelines.
  • Informed Consent: Assist with obtaining informed consent for non-interventional studies (with training and approval).
  • Patient Visits: Schedule medical procedures/tests (blood draws, imaging) necessary for research.
  • Study Participant Support: Support investigator in the recruitment and selection of participants.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Assist with regulatory requirements and document submission to the IRB.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of research protocols and regulations.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and data.
  • Familiarity with IRB processes and Good Clinical Practices (GCP).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
