Calibration Technician | Abbott | Plano, TX (On-site)

Job Summary:

Abbott, a global leader in healthcare and medical technology, is seeking a Calibration Technician for its Neuromodulation division in Plano, TX. This role is crucial in maintaining the accuracy and reliability of test and measurement equipment that supports the development and production of life-changing medical devices. The ideal candidate will have practical calibration or testing experience and a strong attention to detail, ensuring all equipment meets regulatory and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform calibration activities on inspection, measurement, and test equipment per established schedules.

  • Execute written procedures for tools, fixtures, and custom-made equipment to maintain process reliability.

  • Use Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for accurate data collection and historical result storage.

  • Support various departments by ensuring timely and effective calibration services.

  • Maintain documentation in accordance with quality and regulatory guidelines.

  • Ensure the accuracy and functionality of automated test systems used in equipment calibration.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Practical experience in calibration or testing environments involving data collection and verification.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow complex procedures accurately.

  • Familiarity with CMMS systems preferred.

  • Good understanding of test and measurement equipment in a regulated environment.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
