About the Role
We are seeking an experienced BPO Medical Records Coding Senior Representative to join our healthcare operations team in Coimbatore. This role involves accurate interpretation of clinical documentation, assigning standardized medical codes, and ensuring compliance with global healthcare coding guidelines. The position is ideal for professionals with strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and hands-on experience in medical coding.
Key Responsibilities
Review and interpret patient medical records to understand assigned diagnoses and clinical details.
Convert healthcare diagnoses, procedures, medical services, and equipment information into standardized alphanumeric medical codes.
Maintain a consistent coding vocabulary that supports the analysis of causes of illness, injury, and mortality.
Ensure uniform and compliant medical documentation across healthcare facilities.
Evaluate clinical statements and assign accurate, industry-standard medical codes based on recognized coding systems.
Experience Required
Minimum 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in medical records coding within BPO or healthcare operations.
Strong understanding of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
Experience reviewing medical charts, clinical documentation, and coding summaries.
Certification such as CPC, CCS, or equivalent (preferred).
