BPO Medical Records Coding Analyst
Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India

Overview
We are hiring an experienced BPO Medical Records Coding Analyst to support our healthcare operations with accurate and compliant medical coding practices. This role is ideal for candidates with strong expertise in EM Outpatient Coding and multispecialty coding, preferably with CPC certification and prior experience in a Healthcare BPO environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming clinical documentation into standardized medical codes while ensuring documentation accuracy, process consistency, and compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Review clinical documentation to interpret and validate patient diagnoses and medical procedures.
Convert healthcare diagnoses, procedures, medical services, and equipment information into standardized alphanumeric codes.
Maintain uniform documentation standards across medical facilities through accurate coding practices.
Create and maintain consistent medical vocabulary associated with patient encounters, injuries, illnesses, and treatment outcomes.
Assign appropriate standard codes by thoroughly reviewing clinical statements and supporting documentation.
Identify documentation deficiencies and provide subject-matter expertise to guide new team members or trainees.
Experience & Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in Healthcare BPO (EM multispecialty environment preferred).
CPC Certification is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of EM outpatient coding, multispecialty coding, and procedure coding standards.
Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience working with Windows PC applications, software tools, and screen navigation.
Ability to work scheduled shifts Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM IST, with flexibility based on client requirements.
Willingness to work overtime and weekends based on business needs.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English for effective interaction with clients and internal teams.
