Purpose:

The role supports Lilly’s mission to deliver timely, balanced, and accurate medical information to customers across all touchpoints — including healthcare professionals, payers, and consumers. As part of the Global Medical Information (GMI) team, the associate plays a critical role in managing medical content, responding to inquiries, and leveraging insights and technology to improve the customer experience.


Key Responsibilities:

Medical Content Development & Management

  • Create and maintain a global portfolio of response documents including:

    • Medical letters

    • FAQs

    • Slide kits

    • Webpage content

    • Literature searches and summaries

    • Scientific publications

Customer Engagement

  • Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries (verbal and written) from HCPs and patients in a scientifically accurate and compliant manner.

  • Participate in Medical Information booths at scientific congresses.

  • Train affiliate and call center partners in product and disease knowledge.

Strategic and Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate across global teams and vendors to ensure consistent and timely medical information delivery.

  • Utilize omnichannel strategies to deliver content based on customer preferences.

  • Provide coaching and process insights, and support transformation initiatives.

Medical Insights & Analytics

  • Use customer interaction data to inform medical information strategy and content improvements.

  • Ensure medical content aligns with regulatory standards and lifecycle stage of assigned products.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field with 2+ years of industry or relevant experience, or

    • Master’s degree or PhD in a healthcare/scientific discipline.

  • Skills:

    • Strong command of written and verbal English.

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    • Proficient in conducting literature reviews.

    • Ability to synthesize and communicate complex scientific data.

    • Adaptability to digital tools, content systems, and analytics platforms.

    • Proficient in MS Office and related software tools.
