Role Summary:

Join a team of over 400 associates in Global Analytical R&D, dedicated to designing, planning, and performing innovative scientific studies that bridge analytical science to clinical performance. Located in Genome Valley, Hyderabad, this position is part of the Technical Research and Development (TRD) organization within Global Drug Development (GDD), transforming molecules into life-improving medicines.


Major Accountabilities:

  • Scientific Research:

    • Design, plan, and perform experiments for drug substance and drug product projects across clinical phases with minimal guidance.
    • Interpret results and draw conclusions for inclusion in reports, adhering to regulatory guidelines and scientific best practices.
  • Compliance and Quality:

    • Follow ALCOA+ principles, GLP, OQM, HSE, ISEC, and Novartis guidelines to ensure adherence to quality metrics and good documentation practices.
  • Team Collaboration:

    • Collaborate across teams to support project deliverables within agreed timelines.
    • Mentor new joiners, actively participate in project meetings, and contribute to team and individual goals.
  • Instrument Management:

    • Oversee the qualification and periodic calibration of instruments and equipment, adhering to site procedures.
  • Communication and Investigations:

    • Proactively communicate with global stakeholders and guide team members through investigations and project updates.

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Knowledge and Skills:

    • Broad expertise in a scientific or technical domain.
    • Understanding of development processes relevant to the role.
    • Advanced knowledge of laboratory and technical tools.
    • Proficient in scientific literature searches, presentations, and technical writing.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience:

    • M. Pharm./M.Sc. with up to 7 years of experience or a Ph.D. with 2 years of relevant experience, particularly in testing solid oral dosage forms.
    • Familiarity with software and computer tools used in the field.

Minimum Requirements:

  • M. Pharm./M.Sc. or Ph.D. in a relevant field.
  • Proficiency in English (oral and written); knowledge of local languages is desirable.
