Position: Associate Project Manager, Access Operations
Location: Global Project Leadership Group, Parexel

Parexel is seeking a dedicated and proactive Associate Project Manager, Access Operations to collaborate with cross-functional teams, internal stakeholders, and clients in delivering clinical trials that make a difference in patients’ lives. This role involves supporting Project Leaders (PLs) and Technical Leads (TLs) in managing the entire project lifecycle, ensuring quality, timeliness, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Project Initiation Management

  • Set up project tools according to SOPs, including Project Management Plans, SOP lists, and resource planning systems.
  • Coordinate the setup of project-specific training in LMS as required.
  • Collaborate with PL to draft initial project schedules and resource plans.
  • Assist in creating coherent project management plans and integrating inputs from different functions.
  • Support Access PD/SL Heads in staffing recommendations to efficiently allocate resources.

Project Execution and Control Management

  • Prepare project reporting and analysis, highlighting issues for the project team.
  • Maintain and update project schedules and resources with PL input.
  • Organize and manage project-related materials, correspondence, and document archiving.
  • Collaborate with PL/TL to execute and maintain project plans, including risk, quality, and communication plans.
  • Monitor system data compliance and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Coordinate team efforts to address potential project issues proactively.

Project Financial Management

  • Create monthly financial metrics and monitor project profitability.
  • Work with PL to identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and manage out-of-scope activities.
  • Track profit margins, TIME reports, and manage allocation of project hours.
  • Review and process invoices, including PT cost invoices, and interact with independent consultants for timesheets and payments.

Project Closure Management

  • Ensure document archiving and project systems are closed upon project completion.
  • Facilitate the development of case studies and ensure customer satisfaction surveys are completed.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Client-focused with a flexible attitude toward assignments and learning.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Word; familiarity with Parexel systems preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic team player who thrives in a matrix environment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare, consultancy, project management, or CRO processes.

Knowledge and Experience

  • 3–4 years of relevant experience in project support or management within healthcare, consultancy, or CROs.
  • Proven ability to support and manage projects in a professional setting.
  • Strong understanding of project management tools and methodologies.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • PMP certification or equivalent is desirable.
