Organization Overview:

The Clinical Operations Analytics Consultant is a highly motivated professional specializing in analytics and AI. The role focuses on leveraging advanced data analytics and AI techniques to solve complex business problems within clinical trials. This position is an opportunity to work on optimizing processes and contributing to AI-based product and service development in clinical operations.

Responsibilities:

Systems Development and Management:
- Maintain and grow a strong understanding of systems used in clinical trials across CDDA.
- Collaborate with different functions and geographies to build and refine systems used for operational reporting and analytics.
- Resolve system/product issues efficiently, applying root cause analysis when necessary.
- Ensure stakeholder satisfaction by delivering high-quality, timely, and insightful outputs.
- Continuously improve product functionality and efficiency based on customer feedback.
- Provide training and develop user manuals, FAQs, and other support materials as needed.
- Support system testing and documentation validation.
AI and Analytics:
- Use statistical methods, data mining, and visualization techniques to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in data.
- Develop and implement dashboards, KPIs, and automated tools to streamline operations.
- Design and deploy AI/machine learning models to address business challenges.
- Build predictive models and offer recommendations based on data analysis.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate AI models into business operations.
- Automate data pipelines, data cleaning, and transformation processes to enhance efficiency.
- Provide consultation and advice to less senior team members.
Research & Development:
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and data analytics.
- Contribute to the development of innovative AI/Analytics automated solutions.

Basic Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
Technical Expertise:
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel, Python, R, AWS, SQL, etc.).
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms (regression, classification, clustering, reinforcement learning).
- Familiarity with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Understanding of Microsoft Power Platforms (PowerApps, Power Automate) and Fabric.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and hypothesis testing.
- Experience working with business intelligence tools and databases.
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Additional Skills/Preferences:

Experience in Clinical Trials:
- Familiarity with systems like Planisware, Impact, Oracle, Veeva suite used in clinical trials.
- Experience working with clinical data in pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, or regulatory agency settings.
AI Ethics & Automation:
- Knowledge of AI ethics and responsible AI practices.
- Experience automating business processes using AI technologies.
Methodology & Collaboration:
- Demonstrated proactive process improvement and ability to work in an Agile environment.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business requirements and convert them to technical solutions.
Certifications:
- Relevant certifications in data science, AI, or machine learning (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning, Google Cloud AI Engineer).
