About the Position:

As an Associate Global Scientific Advisor within Novo Nordisk's Global Medical Affairs team, you will be responsible for providing timely, accurate, and credible scientific and medical input for a variety of projects, including scientific communication surrounding Novo Nordisk’s products. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including the US affiliate, global medical affairs, and other functional areas. Additionally, you'll engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in medical and scientific settings, prepare presentations for medical congresses, and support publication efforts such as clinical studies and scientific reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide scientific and medical input on various projects related to Novo Nordisk’s products.
  • Collaborate with global teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Engage in discussions with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) on medical and scientific topics.
  • Prepare presentations for standalone events and international medical congresses.
  • Edit, rewrite, and prepare manuscripts for publication.
  • Compile, analyze, and summarize additional data from various sources.
  • Prepare sales education materials, brochures, and literature for new products.

Qualifications:

  • Education: PhD in life sciences or PharmD/M Pharm with 2-3 years of research or medical/scientific writing experience.
  • Experience: Proven track record of scientific publications, ideally as the first author.
  • Skills: Ability to work independently, strong collaboration and communication skills in professional English, and cross-cultural team experience.
  • Other: Solid problem-solving abilities and a positive attitude.

About the Department:

The Global Medical Affairs team in Bangalore is an extension of the Global Medical Affairs department headquartered in Denmark. The team includes scientific advisors (medical writers), project managers, graphic designers, and publication managers working closely with medical teams worldwide. The team's focus is on effective communication of scientific and medical knowledge across the organization and with the external scientific community.
