Role Summary:

The Associate Director in the role of Program Manager will plan, execute, and finalize data management projects within budget and deadlines. This includes resource acquisition and coordination among team members, third-party contractors, and consultants. The role is pivotal in establishing partnerships across business, operations, technology, and external vendors to deliver strategic global deliverables in the pharmaceutical and life sciences domain.

This leadership position involves overseeing cross-domain and cross-functional initiatives within the Drug Development organization.


Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Execution:

    • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
    • Develop comprehensive project plans and communication documents.
    • Set and manage project timelines, milestones, and budgets.
    • Identify project dependencies and critical paths.
  2. Stakeholder Management:

    • Effectively communicate expectations with stakeholders and team members.
    • Build and foster strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  3. Risk and Change Management:

    • Identify, assess, and manage project risks with mitigation and contingency strategies.
    • Proactively handle changes in project scope and resolve potential crises.
  4. Team Leadership and Mentorship:

    • Coach and motivate project team members to take ownership of their tasks.
    • Supervise team performance and maintain accountability.
  5. Quality and Progress Tracking:

    • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and manage deliverables.
    • Develop progress reports, presentations, and documentation for stakeholders.
  6. Data Management Expertise:

    • Ensure alignment with data management practices like data quality, master/reference data, metadata, and maturity management.
    • Contribute to enterprise architecture and strategy to align with functional and non-functional requirements.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Completeness and alignment of enterprise architecture with business requirements.
  • Successful execution of strategies to achieve high system integration.
  • Effective cost efficiency through asset reuse and system decommissioning.
  • Delivery of accurate and comprehensive architecture documentation.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, or a related field.
  • PMP certification preferred.

Experience:

  • 15+ years in the industry, with 10+ years managing large-scale data management programs.
  • Proven expertise in Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Strong familiarity with project management tools and best practices.

Domain Knowledge:

  • Pharma and life sciences industry expertise is mandatory.
  • Advanced understanding of data management principles.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in English (business fluent).
