Key Responsibilities

Role-Specific Responsibilities

The Associate role focuses on material handling, warehouse management, and ensuring proper storage and dispensing of materials according to SOPs and safety guidelines.

Functional Responsibilities:

  1. Material Receipt & Storage:

    • Receive, store, and monitor the temperature of materials, including those in deep freezers.
    • Ensure correct labeling, storage, and handling of raw materials, packing materials, and consumables.
  2. Material Inspection & Segregation:

    • Inspect raw and packing materials and segregate them into Quarantine, Approved, or Rejected categories as per guidelines.
    • Store materials according to recommended conditions.
  3. Material Dispensing:

    • Dispense raw and packing materials based on requests from Production, R&D, and other departments as per SOPs.
    • Perform pre-dispensing activities and clearances in coordination with QA.
  4. Accountability & Documentation:

    • Maintain SAP records for material dispensation and ensure accurate stock management.
    • Conduct daily verification and reconciliation of stocks.
    • Maintain records and documentation related to dispensing, following warehouse procedures.
  5. Handling Hazardous Materials:

    • Handle solvents, acids, and other hazardous materials while adhering to safety measures.
  6. Stock Management:

    • Post stock in SAP, and verify and reconcile physical stock.
    • Ensure proper calibration and verification of weighing balances.
  7. Safety & Compliance:

    • Adhere to safety protocols, cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), data integrity, and EHSS (Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability) policies.
    • Report any deviations, discrepancies, or safety concerns to supervisors.
  8. Training & Development:

    • Provide training to material handling personnel on correct procedures.
    • Review dispensing activity records to ensure compliance.
  9. General Warehouse Maintenance:

    • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and discipline as per SOPs.
  10. Additional Responsibilities:

    • Assist in any other tasks as assigned by the Head of Department (HOD).

Qualifications and Skills

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., B.Sc., B.Pharm, or equivalent).

Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with warehouse management, material handling, and dispensing procedures.
  • Proficiency in SAP for material management.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols, cGMP, and EHSS compliance.

Behavioral Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and stock management.
  • Good communication skills for reporting and coordinating with teams.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
