🎯 Primary Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of 25–30 certified medical coders, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to company standards.
Staff Development:
Recruit, orient, and train team members.
Maintain a safe, compliant, and motivating work environment.
Performance Management:
Track timeliness, quality, and productivity metrics.
Conduct coaching, counseling, and performance appraisals.
Address and resolve performance or behavioral issues.
Quality & Compliance:
Enforce quality and customer service standards.
Analyze and resolve quality concerns, identify trends, and recommend system improvements.
Operational Efficiency:
Develop, coordinate, and enforce policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
Employee Engagement:
Drive engagement and retention by communicating company goals, empowering team members, and providing continuous feedback.
Professional Development:
Stay updated through workshops, publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations.
Policy Compliance:
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and directives, including possible changes in shifts, teams, or work locations as required by business needs.
🎓 Required Qualifications
Education: Graduate in any discipline.
Certification: Certified Coder (through AAPC or AHIMA).
Experience:
Minimum 18+ months as a Team Leader or Assistant Manager.
Experience managing a team of 15+ coders.
Strong background in Medical Coding.
