Job Opportunity: Analytical Chemist – Nitrosamines Projects

Role Overview:
Support Global R&D sites in Nitrosamines-related projects by performing routine analytical method development, validation, and transfer activities. Work includes testing APIs, intermediates, and finished products under the guidance of a supervisor.


Key Responsibilities

Analytical Activities

  • Execute daily tasks related to Nitrosamine impurities, ensuring timely completion based on project priorities.
  • Develop, validate, and transfer methods for Nitrosamines in drug substances and products.
  • Perform troubleshooting of analytical instruments to resolve operational challenges.
  • Conduct instrument calibration as part of routine activities.
  • Compile analytical data, ensuring compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and quality standards.

Laboratory Operations

  • Manage and reconcile global analytical samples from in-house FRD and Teva sites.
  • Maintain laboratory inventory, including columns, standards, chemicals, spares, and consumables.
  • Prepare laboratory documentation such as Standard Test Procedures (STPs) and analytical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct literature searches to support analytical method development.

Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure adherence to data integrity standards, pharmaceutical quality systems, and GLP.
  • Actively participate in implementing EHS policies to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Education:

  • M.Sc. or M.Pharm in Analytical Chemistry or related field.
  • Ph.D. candidates are also eligible.

Experience:

  • 6–9 years of relevant experience for Master’s degree holders or 3–6 years for Ph.D. holders.
  • Proven expertise in analytical method development and validation for Nitrosamine impurities.
  • Hands-on experience with advanced mass spectrometry technologies, including:
    • LC-MS/MS
    • GC-MS/MS
    • LC-HRMS

Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for major markets (e.g., US, EU, Canada).
  • Strong understanding of ICH guidelines and pharmaceutical quality systems.
