Job Opportunity: Analytical Chemist – Nitrosamines Projects

Role Overview:
Support Global R&D sites with Nitrosamines-related projects by executing routine analytical activities, including method development, validation, and transfer. Work involves testing APIs, intermediates, and finished products under the guidance of a supervisor.


Key Responsibilities

Analytical Activities

  • Execute daily analytical tasks related to Nitrosamine impurities in accordance with assigned timelines.
  • Perform method development, validation, and transfer for Nitrosamines in drug substances and drug products.
  • Conduct instrument calibration and troubleshoot analytical instruments to resolve operational challenges.
  • Compile analytical data, ensuring compliance with GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) and quality standards.

Laboratory Operations

  • Handle and reconcile global analytical samples from in-house FRD and various Teva sites.
  • Maintain laboratory inventory, including columns, standards, chemicals, spares, and consumables.
  • Prepare and update laboratory documentation such as Standard Test Procedures (STPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct literature searches to support the development of analytical methods.

Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure laboratory compliance with data integrity standards and pharmaceutical quality systems.
  • Adhere to EHS policies to maintain a safe working environment. Participate actively in the implementation of EHS systems.

Qualifications

Education:

  • M.Sc. or M.Pharm in Analytical Chemistry.
  • Ph.D. candidates with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.

Experience:

  • 6–9 years of relevant experience for Master’s degree holders or 3–6 years for Ph.D. holders.
  • Proficiency in analytical method development and validation for Nitrosamine impurities in drug substances and products.
  • Hands-on experience with advanced mass spectrometry technologies, including LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, and LC-HRMS.

Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for major markets (e.g., US, EU, Canada).
  • Strong understanding of ICH guidelines and pharmaceutical quality systems.
