Senior Data Analyst – Oncology, Real World Solutions (Remote)

Job Summary

IQVIA is seeking a skilled Senior Data Analyst to join its Real-World Solutions (RWS) team focused on oncology. This remote role supports observational studies within a top global pharma client’s environment. The role involves programming and statistical analysis using real-world data (RWD) sources, with a strong emphasis on Flatiron Health data. The ideal candidate will bring a background in oncology research, advanced SAS or R programming, and experience managing multiple studies and datasets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead statistical programming and analysis of oncology-focused real-world data (claims, EHR, HEOR, genomic data).

  • Develop statistical analysis plans, programming specs, and contribute to study reports.

  • Assess feasibility and define patient cohorts using RWD sources.

  • Integrate and QC data from multiple sources within budget and timelines.

  • Communicate timelines, progress, and outcomes with stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including epidemiologists and data scientists.

  • Maintain client-specific methodologies and best practices for data use.

  • Ensure high-quality programming and data refresh automation.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Master’s in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Data Science, or related field with 5–8 years' experience OR PhD with 2+ years' experience.

  • Strong programming skills in SAS (preferred) or R (acceptable).

  • Proven experience with Flatiron Health data is required.

  • Oncology-specific programming experience (e.g., survival analysis, lines of therapy derivation).

  • Excellent project and time management skills.

  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and collaboration abilities.
