Position Overview

As a Behavioral Health Clinician I (BHC), you will collaborate with psychiatric providers and interdisciplinary teams to deliver trauma-informed mental health care. This includes conducting psychosocial assessments, facilitating therapy, coordinating care plans, and ensuring seamless aftercare services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a liaison between patients and psychiatric providers.
  • Providing individual, group, and family therapy.
  • Assessing psychiatric needs and recommending appropriate levels of care.
  • Educating patients and families about mental health conditions and resources.
  • Coordinating discharge and aftercare plans.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Range: $33.37 - $41.66/hour.
  • $5,000 Sign-On Bonus.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Master’s Degree in Human Services (e.g., Social Work, Professional Counseling).
    • Active licensure as LMSW or LGPC in Maryland (required).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with acute and chronic mental illnesses in acute care psychiatric settings.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in conducting psychosocial assessments and trauma-informed care.
    • Strong knowledge of community resources and healthcare systems (e.g., Medicare/Medicaid).
    • Effective critical thinking and decision-making in fast-paced environments.
    • Excellent communication and time-management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assessment & Treatment Planning:
    • Perform psychosocial evaluations and create treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
  2. Therapeutic Services:
    • Deliver trauma-informed therapy to individuals, families, and groups.
  3. Crisis Management:
    • Provide de-escalation and crisis intervention services as needed.
  4. Care Coordination:
    • Collaborate with internal teams, community stakeholders, and families to ensure holistic patient care.
  5. Education & Advocacy:
    • Serve as a primary educator on mental health topics, advocating for patients and families.
