Position Overview:

The Training Specialist, Line 4 will design, develop, and deliver training materials and documentation to ensure compliance with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements in the manufacturing facility. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, including equipment operation, aseptic filling, lyophilization, and packaging. The primary goal is to ensure manufacturing staff are effectively trained and compliant with industry standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Development & Delivery:

    • Develop and maintain On-the-Job Training (OJT), Instructor-Led Training (ILT), and Computer-Based Training (CBT) programs.
    • Deliver training sessions to all levels of manufacturing employees, ensuring effectiveness and compliance with cGMP standards.
  • Training Effectiveness Monitoring:

    • Regularly assess the effectiveness of training programs.
    • Perform audits of training records to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Competency Assessments:

    • Conduct competency assessments to evaluate employee skills and understanding.
  • Collaboration & Liaison:

    • Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify training needs and resolve performance or productivity issues.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Stay up-to-date with current training methodologies, theories, and techniques through continued education.
    • Cross-train in other training functions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, or related field preferred.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a training role, preferably as a Training Specialist or Lead.
    • Pharmaceutical and FDA-regulated industry experience is preferred.
    • 6 months of aseptic experience is desirable.
    • Experience with instructional design, adult education, and training delivery is required.
    • Completion of Trainer Instructor course is required.
  • Skills:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work in aseptic environments.
    • Ability to lift 30 lbs. unassisted and work in environments with exposure to allergens.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly Pay: $29.05 to $39.30 per hour (based on experience).
