Job Description:
Jubilant Ingrevia is looking for a Production Chemist for their 2 Chloro Pyridine (2CP) unit based in Bharuch, Gujarat.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure smooth and safe plant operation.
Operate 2CP Distillation/MEE and maintain process parameters as per SOP.
Adhere to safety and housekeeping protocols in the plant.
Follow the work-permit system and adhere to the shift schedule.
Record BPR, log sheets, and plant readings regularly.
Handle material loading/unloading from drums, tanks, etc.
Report any deviations or abnormalities to Shift In Charge and troubleshoot issues.
Coordinate with Shift In Charge for maintenance work.
Undertake non-routine tasks as assigned by seniors.
Awareness and compliance with responsible care practices related to Environment, Health, Safety, and Security.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Diploma in Chemical Engineering or B.Sc in Chemistry.
Experience: 3-5 years in a continuous or batch chemical process plant.
Key Competencies:
Knowledge of continuous/batch chemical processes.
Familiarity with reactors, filters, and centrifuges.
Adherence to safety and quality standards.
Experience in DCS/PLC-based plant operations.
Knowledge of distillation operations.
Handling of toxic/hazardous materials.
