The Position

As a key support to the Area Sales Manager (ASM), you will:

  • Market Insight: Provide valuable information on market conditions to estimate annual product demand.
  • Inventory Management: Submit inventory requirements to distributors based on the sales plan.
  • Sales Promotion: Develop and execute sales promotion plans, including field activation programs and merchandising activities as designed by the Marketing Team.
  • Competitor Analysis: Gather and provide competitor information and feedback on the business category.
  • Promotional Materials: Monitor and inform the ASM about the availability of promotional materials.
  • Sales Execution: Implement the sales promotion plan on a monthly basis and maintain records of activities, expenses, and generated sales. Evaluate the effectiveness of various programs.
  • Sales Targets: Ensure the achievement of SKU-wise and monthly sales targets by driving secondary sales in the market.
  • Distributor Management: Oversee distributor performance, review the distribution network, propose new distributors when necessary, and suggest the termination of underperforming ones.
  • Distributor Relations: Maintain regular communication with distributors and dealers, addressing their concerns related to accounts, pricing, competition, and demand generation. Organize meetings in alignment with marketing strategies.
  • Collections: Ensure monthly collections through continuous follow-ups.
  • Customer Feedback: Forward complaints and suggestions from distributors, dealers, and customers to customer care.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Monitor and report on competitive activities in the territory to the ASM.
  • Reporting: Adhere to daily reporting norms for customer visits and activities.
