Summary

The Territory Business Executive (Sales Representative) is a key driver in customer interactions and sales performance. As the face of the customer experience, they build deep relationships to deliver value for both customers and patients, ultimately driving sales growth in a compliant and ethical manner.

About the Role

Major Accountabilities:

  1. Drive Competitive Sales Growth:

    • Identify and prioritize high-potential customers through data analysis (HCPs and stakeholders) influencing prescription decisions.

    • Drive sales performance by orchestrating positive customer experiences.

    • Engage and build relationships with customers through in-person and virtual value-based conversations to understand critical customer challenges, pain points, and opportunities.

    • Personalize customer engagement journeys for target HCPs, leveraging available content and multiple engagement channels.

    • Establish effective working relationships with opinion leaders and top medical influencers at the territory level to improve the patient journey.

  2. Develop Deep Customer Insights and Understanding:

    • Gather customer insights and follow up on feedback to create additional value and exceed expectations.

    • Leverage available data to create and dynamically adjust territory, account, and customer interaction plans.

    • Share customer insights with internal stakeholders to support the development of product-related content and interaction plans.

  3. Deliver Value to Customers and Patients:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions addressing unmet customer and patient needs.

    • Act as a trusted partner, striving to deepen relationships in a compliant and ethical manner.

    • Treat customers and colleagues with integrity, respect, and transparency.

    • Adhere to Novartis’ Code of Ethics and Values, doing the right thing and speaking up when things don’t seem right.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • To be populated at the local level, based on the guidance from the IMI Field Engagement Performance Management Council outcomes.

Minimum Requirements

Work Experience:

  • Established network targeting customer groups is desirable.

  • Sales experience in healthcare, pharma, or related business fields.

  • Specific product knowledge is desirable.

Skills:

  • Account management, commercial excellence, and communication skills.

  • Strong understanding of compliance, conflict management, and cross-functional coordination.

  • Ability to derive customer insights and apply ethics, influencing, negotiation, and selling skills.

  • Technical skills related to sales and healthcare sector.

Languages:

  • Fluent in English (oral and written).
