About the Position

As an Enterprise Technology Expertise Engineer, you will join the Enterprise Engineering Cluster within the Product Development, Integration, and Engineering Chapter. Collaborating with internal experts, you will contribute to Roche's internal business requirements by developing, optimizing, and managing IT services and applications, particularly with a focus on Veeva and Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS).

This role emphasizes scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness while covering all aspects of the digital product lifecycle, from design and development to maintenance. You will also play a pivotal role in understanding business application processes and functions to deliver optimal solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Solution Delivery & Collaboration:

    • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver solutions based on business requirements.

    • Ensure quality in software development, delivery, and conduct peer code reviews.

  2. Application Development & Deployment:

    • Develop and publish applications or prototypes using DevOps, aligned with the underlying infrastructure.

    • Implement and maintain efficient Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the delivery process.

  3. Technical Expertise:

    • Leverage subject matter expertise to handle solution complexities, mission-critical applications, and stakeholder engagements.

    • Contribute to enhancing the overall product lifecycle by integrating security and scalability considerations.


Qualifications & Experience

Technical Expertise:

  • Proficiency in Veeva:

    • Deep understanding of Veeva's architecture, data models, configuration tools, and integration methods.

    • Certification in the Veeva platform is a plus.

  • Clinical Domain Knowledge:

    • Familiarity with clinical trial processes, regulatory requirements, and standards like Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

  • Strong skills in Project Management and Coordination.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills in English.

  • Knowledge of Computer Systems Validation (CSV) and GxP compliance requirements.


Education & Experience:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent.

  • Experience:

    • 5–7 years of relevant work experience in a multinational environment, ideally in the life sciences industry.

    • Demonstrated proficiency in delivering scalable and secure IT solutions.

Other Competencies:

  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and security standards.

  • Ability to travel moderately and work across multiple time zones.
