Job Description:

Jubilant HollisterStier, a subsidiary of Jubilant Pharma Holdings Inc., is seeking a Supervisor II for Visual Inspection to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage and oversee the visual inspection processes of pharmaceutical products, ensuring compliance with JHS quality standards and regulatory requirements. This position involves managing the AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) team for finished products, mentoring the Specialist Visual Inspection, and improving inspection processes. You will also serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for visual inspections and related processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, train, and mentor the Specialist Visual Inspection and all visual inspectors, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Manage and maintain the visual inspection program, ensuring it is current and meets both internal and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure all products undergo visual inspection according to JHS quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for visual inspection processes, offering guidance and support.
  • Provide technical support for investigations related to visual inspection failures or non-compliances.
  • Lead investigations for AQL failures in finished products and manage corrective actions.
  • Perform annual assessments of defects and generate trend reports to improve the visual inspection process.
  • Maintain and update visual inspection documentation, including risk assessments, to meet JHS standards and industry regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in the visual inspection program and implement necessary changes.
  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned by management to support continuous improvement and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • DEC in Science or a closely related discipline.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in quality assurance/quality control, production, or technical development within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Proven experience in visual inspection of pharmaceutical products.
  • Proficiency in visual inspection techniques and a strong understanding of quality standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both French and English (English proficiency is essential).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with SAP and Electronic Data Acquisition Systems.
  • Excellent report-writing skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, rigorou s, and methodical in approach to work.
