Job Title: Supervisor I-III - Manufacturing (Weekend Nights)

Job Overview: Jubilant HollisterStier LLC, a leading contract manufacturer for the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries, is seeking a Supervisor I-III to oversee aseptic manufacturing operations on the weekend night shift. This role involves managing manufacturing operations such as compounding, filtration, filling, and lyophilization, ensuring compliance with cGMP standards, and supervising staff within a regulated manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Supervisor I:

  • Supervise aseptic manufacturing operations, including equipment preparation, sterilization, aseptic filtration, filling, lyophilization, inspection, and packaging.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, safety regulations, and SOPs through training, observation, and auditing.
  • Maintain and update manufacturing documentation (SOPs, Batch Production Records, etc.).
  • Supervise hourly employee performance, coach team members, and assist with performance evaluations.
  • Investigate deviations, implement corrective actions, and handle production issues.
  • Manage production supplies and equipment orders.
  • Collaborate with supporting departments (Quality Assurance, Maintenance, etc.) to resolve production line problems.

Supervisor II (In addition to Supervisor I responsibilities):

  • Minimum of 1 year of related supervisory experience required.
  • Oversee additional responsibilities in the manufacturing area.

Supervisor III (In addition to Supervisor II responsibilities):

  • Minimum of 4 years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
  • Fully trained in at least two distinct manufacturing departments.
  • Review and approve manufacturing processes and provide leadership in operational areas.
  • Participate in capital expenditures analysis and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications:

Supervisor I:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or other hard science, plus 6 months of related experience OR 2 years of related leadership experience in lieu of a specific degree (degree still required) OR 4 years of relevant pharma manufacturing or supervisory experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in a regulated or pharmaceutical industry is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required, with Microsoft PowerPoint experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage conflict and influence outcomes is preferred.

Supervisor II:

  • Minimum of 1 year of related supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

Supervisor III:

  • Minimum of 4 years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • 20/30 corrected near-point vision.
  • Ability to work in aseptic areas and exposure to allergens.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Minimal travel required.

Shift:

  • Weekend Night Shift (Friday to Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)

Compensation:

  • Supervisor I: $67,725 - $93,500 per year (depending on experience)
  • Supervisor II: $68,250 - $107,250 per year (depending on experience)
  • Supervisor III: $80,500 - $126,500 per year (depending on experience)
  • Shift Premium: Night shift roles are eligible for a 10% shift premium.
