Job Title: Summer Student, Synthetic Research & Development (R&D)

Position Type: Full-time, Summer Internship (37.5 hours per week)

Role Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Summer Student to join our Synthetic Research and Development (R&D) team. This is a great opportunity for students looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, cutting-edge field while developing their technical skills in chemistry and radiopharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research & Development: Collaborate with the R&D team in the development of new radiopharmaceuticals and related processes. Contribute to comprehensive literature reviews, API development, risk assessments (FMEA), and the creation of analytical methods.

  • Laboratory Support: Assist in the analysis and testing of materials, perform laboratory experiments, and participate in the calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments to ensure their optimal functionality.

  • Documentation & SOP Creation: Support the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), master batch records, and technical documents, ensuring precise, clear, and effective communication.

  • Lab Organization & Maintenance: Help maintain a clean and efficient laboratory environment, supporting daily operations and ensuring that safety and organizational standards are met.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Academic Background: Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Chemistry, Radiochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field, with the intention to return to studies in Fall 2025.

  • Technical Skills: A solid foundation in synthetic chemistry and experience with classical techniques (e.g., recrystallization, chromatography, precipitation) is essential. Familiarity with analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV spectrophotometry, FTIR, and NMR is highly valued.

  • Bilingual: Proficiency in both English and French, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.

  • Independent & Team-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to work independently in a research setting while collaborating effectively with team members. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.

  • Availability: Ability to work full-time (37.5 hours per week) at our Kirkland, QC location for the summer.
