Important Requirement

Full-service clinical trial management experience in DERMATOLOGY is mandatory.
Applicants must clearly demonstrate dermatology study experience.


Role Overview

The Project Manager / Senior Project Manager is accountable for the successful delivery of full-service clinical trials in the dermatology therapeutic area—ensuring quality, timelines, and budget compliance.

This role acts as the primary liaison between the sponsor and the organization, leading cross-functional global teams, managing complex multi-service/multi-country studies, and driving project performance.


Key Responsibilities

1. Project Leadership

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between sponsor and internal study team.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to meet quality, timeline, and cost expectations.

  • Oversee multi-service, multi-country, and high-complexity dermatology studies.

  • Ensure clear communication and responsibility allocation across regional leads or vendor leads.


2. Project Execution & Delivery

  • Own end-to-end project delivery (Scope, Time, Cost, Quality).

  • Ensure project milestones are met and corrective actions implemented.

  • Drive risk identification and resolution using RBQM/RESOLVE frameworks.

  • Ensure compliance with:

    • SOPs

    • ICH-GCP

    • Regulatory guidelines

    • Project-specific requirements


3. Financial Management

  • Strong financial stewardship:

    • Understand full contract and scope

    • Align project resources with budget

    • Manage Out-of-Scope (OOS) activities

    • Lead Change Order/Con Mod negotiations

  • Monitor and control project budgets, forecasting, and spend.


4. Sponsor/Stakeholder Management

  • Manage sponsor expectations and ensure satisfaction.

  • Communicate deliverables, risks, and progress with transparency.

  • Build long-term sponsor relationships.

  • Provide expert leadership, guidance, and escalation pathways.


5. Team Leadership & Communication

  • Lead, motivate, mentor, and coordinate global cross-functional teams.

  • Provide direction, manage performance, and resolve conflicts.

  • Support team members in prioritizing responsibilities in a dynamic environment.


Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent academic/vocational qualification.


Experience

  • 8+ years relevant experience in clinical research.

  • 5+ years of management/leadership experience.

  • Full-service Dermatology clinical trial management experience required.

  • Demonstrated leadership in complex, global project environments.

Therapeutic & Technical Knowledge

  • Strong dermatology therapeutic area understanding.

  • Expert knowledge of:

    • Clinical development guidelines

    • Regulatory guidelines

    • Cross-functional project management principles (Time, Quality, Cost)

Project Management Skills

  • Strong financial acumen (budgeting, forecasting, resource management).

  • Skilled in process improvement, strategic planning, risk management.

  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects under pressure.

Communication & Leadership

  • Excellent written and oral communication.

  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and drive results.

  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and lead diverse global teams.

  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.

Technical Systems

  • Proficiency in:

    • MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

    • CTMS systems

    • Internal systems like Preclarus and Clarity


Work Environment & Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • Background check + drug screening required.

  • Ability to:

    • Work upright and stationary for long periods

    • Use office technology proficiently

    • Communicate effectively with diverse groups

    • Handle multiple tasks under pressure

  • Travel may be required.
