Job Title: Product Marketing Manager

Therapy Area: Oncology (preferred), open to candidates from other therapies
Industry Preference: Pharmaceutical
Experience Required: 3-7 years of Product Marketing experience OR MBBS with 6 months - 2 years of experience OR MD (Pharmacologist)


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Educational Qualification:

    • B. Pharma + MBA (Marketing or Pharma Management) with 3 to 7 years of Product Marketing experience.
    • OR M.B.B.S. with 6 months - 2 years of experience.
    • OR MD (Pharmacologist).
  • Therapy Area:

    • Oncology experience preferred, but candidates from other therapy areas will be considered.
  • Industry:

    • Pharmaceutical industry experience is required.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Strategic and Operational Planning:

    • Develop, collaborate, and implement strategic and operational plans to optimize profitability, market share, and revenue growth for the brand portfolio, both in the short and long term.
    • Lead assignments to help the Business Unit (BU) achieve overall business goals.
  • Marketing and Promotional Planning:

    • Develop marketing and promotional plans for products, focusing on end consumers’ needs.
    • Ensure the implementation of marketing strategies through coordination with the sales force.
  • Market Intelligence:

    • Conduct primary research and customer connect for market intelligence.
    • Collaborate with internal and external media to ensure the proper execution of strategies.
  • Training and Development:

    • Provide training and product knowledge to the field sales team, equipping them with both scientific and communication skills.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams like Medical Affairs, Learning & Development, and R&D.
  • Brand Development & Strategy:

    • Develop brand plans and strategies for product ranges, including market penetration strategy, market research, and competitor analysis.
    • Perform SWOT analysis of product lines (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) and guide the sales team to leverage opportunities for growth.
  • Promotional Materials and Campaigns:

    • Create brand materials for promotion such as Value Propositions (VA), Leave Behind Literature (LBL), newsletters, flipcharts, and digital campaigns (websites, app launches, webinars).
    • Ensure brand visibility in target audience segments, including healthcare professionals and hospitals through meetings, symposia, CMEs, and conferences.
  • Sales Team Motivation:

    • Motivate and inspire sales team members by organizing training camps, award ceremonies, and recognition programs.
  • Product Forecasting & New Product Strategy:

    • Oversee product forecasting, develop new product pipeline strategies, and formulate pre-launch and post-launch strategies.
    • Design new initiatives for product growth and market expansion.

  • Strong marketing and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple teams (sales, marketing, medical affairs, R&D).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • In-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and market trends.
  • Proficiency in conducting market research and competitive analysis.
  • Experience in launching and promoting products in the pharmaceutical market.
  • Ability to motivate and guide sales teams toward achieving business objectives.
