About the Role:
Thermo Fisher Scientific is hiring a Sr Packaging/Labeling Technician to lead floor-level activities for secondary pharmaceutical packaging, ensuring that packaging operations meet defined timelines, quality standards, and regulatory compliance. The role requires hands-on technical experience, documentation skills, leadership on the shop floor, and support for internal and client-facing audits.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct daily secondary packaging activities in accordance with GMP and SOPs
Ensure packaging team adherence to regulatory and documentation standards
Prepare, maintain, and review packaging documentation and reports
Assist the packaging manager in SOP development, equipment qualifications (FAT, IQ, OQ, PQ), and change part creation
Operate GPMS systems to complete EBR jobs and train team members on system use
Support client, regulatory, and internal audits
Maintain machines and equipment to ensure operational efficiency and compliance
Deliver onboarding and operational training to new technicians
Handle FCS clinical label printing activities and coordinate with vendors and project teams
Lead software-based projects for label generation, inspection, and printing
Qualifications:
B. Pharm or M.Sc.: Minimum 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical packaging
B.Sc. (Science): Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical packaging
Required Skills and Experience:
Strong understanding of GMP, Schedule M, and pharma packaging protocols
Familiarity with computer systems and GMP documentation practices
Knowledge of equipment qualification processes
Experience with GMP investigations
Excellent team handling and cross-functional coordination abilities
Ability to manage packaging operations independently and lead shop floor activities
Strong technical understanding of clinical labeling software and packaging systems
