Compensation:
Actual compensation depends on education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
Anticipated Range: $147,000 - $237,600


Position Description:

The Sr. Director, New API Site Network Operations will play a critical role in ensuring Lilly’s manufacturing network meets strategic objectives and enhances operational efficiency across new sites. This role involves overseeing operations across multiple sites and geographies with significant exposure to site, functional, and leadership teams in manufacturing and quality.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Processes and Projects:

  • Assess strategic and capability gaps across sites and drive improvement.

  • Provide meaningful measurement and analytics to enhance business decisions.

  • Support annual strategic planning, business plan processes, and initiative prioritization.

  • Lead and manage special projects, resolving issues that impact project deliverables.

Operational Excellence:

  • Lead and facilitate key project meetings, ensuring follow-up on actions.

  • Manage meeting agendas, pre-reads, and follow-ups to ensure accountability.

  • Implement governance to drive safety, quality, and execution.

  • Monitor milestone progress and address barriers to ensure timely completion.

  • Support sites by driving operational process improvements, best practices, and cost efficiencies.

Effective Communication:

  • Drive alignment on strategic objectives between sites, functions, and networks.

  • Document and communicate key decisions, actions, and project modifications.


Critical Skills Required:

  • Strong cross-functional leadership and integration abilities.

  • Ability to identify strategic opportunities and convert them into actionable plans.

  • Learning agility and ability to operate as part of Team Lilly.

  • Strong operational execution and accountability.

  • Ability to influence without authority and lead inclusively.

  • Experience in the biopharma manufacturing space.

  • Project management and change management expertise.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Minimum 8 years of manufacturing experience.
