Job Summary

Join Fortrea, one of the world’s largest Clinical Research Organizations, as a Research Nurse at our Early Phase Clinical Pharmacology Unit in Dallas, TX. This role is ideal for newly licensed or early-career nurses seeking to transition into clinical research. You will work closely with healthy volunteers, perform clinical procedures, and contribute to early-stage drug development in a fast-paced, technology-driven setting. As a key part of Phase I trial operations, you will help test the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of new pharmaceutical treatments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform nursing assessments: vital signs, venipuncture, ECGs, pulse, temperature, and weight

  • Monitor dietary compliance and assist in study-specific protocol tasks

  • Collect, process, and label biological samples accurately

  • Maintain clean, safe, and compliant clinical environments

  • Educate and interact with healthy volunteer participants

  • Document clinical data and support screening processes

  • Collaborate with study teams to ensure accurate protocol adherence

  • Assist in setup and maintenance of medical equipment and rooms


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate’s or BS Degree in Nursing with current state RN licensure

  • 0–1 year of related clinical or research experience

  • Certifications such as EMT, CMA, CNA, or Phlebotomy preferred

  • Comfort with fast-paced, high-accuracy work environments

  • Ability to adapt to changing clinical priorities

  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Tech-savvy: familiar with digital documentation and data systems
