Job Summary

Cognizant is hiring a Senior Pharmacovigilance Executive (SPE) to support safety operations and enhance pharmacovigilance excellence. This hybrid role requires 3–5 years of experience, proficiency in Avaya Contact Center Express, and familiarity with PV case processing. The ideal candidate will drive adverse event management, collaborate across teams, and support regulatory compliance—making a direct impact on patient safety and drug risk management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and evaluate adverse event (AE) reports for compliance with global regulations.

  • Leverage Avaya Contact Center Express to manage HCP/patient communication.

  • Analyze pharmacovigilance data to detect trends and safety signals.

  • Prepare timely, accurate safety reports for submission to regulatory bodies.

  • Guide internal teams on PV best practices and regulatory standards.

  • Support pharmacovigilance training initiatives and internal awareness.

  • Contribute to PV policy development and improvement strategies.

  • Maintain accurate PV documentation and database integrity.

  • Assist during audits and inspections with relevant documentation.

  • Evaluate emerging PV tools to enhance operational efficiency.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety.

  • Proficiency in Avaya Contact Center Express.

  • Strong understanding of global PV regulations and AE processing.

  • Background in PV case processing is highly preferred.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

  • High attention to detail and cross-functional collaboration experience.


Certifications Preferred

  • Certification in Pharmacovigilance or a related life sciences field.
