Role Overview

Huron is seeking an experienced SME / Process Specialist – RCM to support and lead operational excellence across revenue cycle functions. This role involves team handling, work allocation, client interaction, and preparation of detailed RCM performance metrics for leadership review.

The ideal candidate will bring strong domain expertise in US healthcare revenue cycle management, hands-on reporting skills, and the ability to analyze data to drive process improvements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 15–20 FTEs, ensuring productivity, quality, and adherence to SLAs.

  • Allocate and monitor daily work assignments across RCM functions.

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of end-to-end RCM processes including Billing, Cash Posting, Credit Balance, Accounts Receivable, Denial Management, and Correspondence Review.

  • Track and analyze critical RCM performance metrics such as Days in A/R, Aging above 90 days, Collections, and Bad Debt.

  • Review team performance periodically and recommend performance improvement plans (PIPs) when required.

  • Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports using practice management systems, billing tools, and MS Excel.

  • Identify trends, patterns, and root causes from AR data and implement corrective action plans.

  • Create and maintain operational scorecards and KPIs to support volume forecasting and capacity planning.

  • Generate accurate and timely management reports, including ad hoc analysis.

  • Collaborate closely with team managers by highlighting operational gaps, trends, and improvement opportunities.

  • Drive process improvements using Lean Six Sigma principles and recommend automation of repetitive tasks.

  • Interact effectively with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and issue resolution.

  • Willingness to work in US/night shift schedules.


Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong expertise in US healthcare RCM operations and metrics.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including dashboards, pivot tables, and macros.

  • Strong analytical ability to interpret raw data and develop actionable insights.

  • Proven experience in operational reporting and data-driven decision making.

  • Ability to manage multiple reporting requirements simultaneously.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance.


Experience & Qualifications

  • Total Experience Required: Minimum 5+ years in the healthcare or RCM industry.

  • Relevant RCM Experience: At least 3+ years in billing, AR, or related RCM functions.

  • Education: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized institution.

  • Certifications in RCM, Six Sigma, or process improvement are an added advantage.
