Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative for the Cardiometabolic Health portfolio. This role will involve promoting Lilly’s range of cardiometabolic health products to healthcare professionals, such as doctors and pharmacists. The ideal candidate will drive sales growth and build strong relationships with healthcare providers using value-based selling principles while adhering to Lilly’s compliance guidelines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development:

    • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets and increase market share.

    • Identify and establish new business opportunities within the assigned territory.

  • Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, pharmacists, and other medical staff.

    • Promote the value proposition of Lilly's medicines using Value-Based Selling principles.

  • Sales Reporting & Forecasting:

    • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to the sales manager.

  • Scientific Support:

    • Respond to inquiries from healthcare professionals, providing accurate information on products.

    • Execute healthcare professional (HCP) meetings to disseminate product efficacy and safety data.

  • Education & Training:

    • Conduct Pharmacy Awareness Programs and Nurse Awareness Programs to enhance knowledge on correct usage of Lilly medicines.

    • Engage with stockists to ensure availability and monitor sales trends.

  • Compliance & Ethical Conduct:

    • Act in accordance with industry codes and Lilly’s ethical standards.

    • Follow the Uniform Code of Pharmaceutical Marketing Practices (UCPMP).


Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent is a plus.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or a similar role.

    • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and driving business growth. MNC experience is preferred.

  • Skills:

    • Knowledge of Diabetes and Metabolic Therapeutic Areas is an advantage.

    • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Understanding of compliance and ethical standards in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Technical:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

    • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.

  • Attributes:

    • Strong drive, enthusiasm, and sense of urgency.
