Position Overview

The Zonal Medical Advisor will act as the scientific face of the company, engaging with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the Oncology therapy area. The position will involve discussing clinical trial data, treatment trends, and gathering insights to support the medical strategy. The role is based in Kolkata/Delhi and reports to the TA Lead – Oncology.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary scientific liaison with KOLs for Oncology in the assigned geography.

  • Identify, map, and profile KOLs in the region, engaging with them regularly through medical affairs initiatives aligned with the overall franchise plan.

  • Represent the Oncology therapeutic area (TA) for medical & scientific affairs across all relevant cross-functional teams and initiatives.

  • Gather insights from healthcare professionals (HCPs) and communicate them back to the franchise team.

  • Provide scientific resources and training to the sales team on the latest medical developments in oncology.

  • Collaborate internally to develop and implement medical strategies that will facilitate the fastest access to new products and indications for patients and medical professionals.

  • Extensive travel requirement (70-80%) for customer and stakeholder interactions.


Qualifications

  • Medical Graduate (MD, MBBS, BDS, MDS) or Pharmaceutical University Degree (PharmD, PhD).

Experience and Skills

  • 0-3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.

  • Strong understanding of the medical affairs function.

  • Knowledge of local regulatory policies and the industry’s codes related to drug registration, clinical research, and pharmaceutical promotion.
