Job Overview
ProPharma is seeking a Life Sciences Informatics Consultant to support the design, configuration, and implementation of scientific workflows and laboratory data systems. This role focuses on translating complex scientific and laboratory processes into structured digital workflows, integrating informatics platforms, and supporting end-to-end system deployment in life sciences environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with scientific data platforms and strong capability in workflow design, system configuration, and client-facing delivery.

Job Location & Work Model

  • Work Type: Remote

  • Employment Type: Full-time / Project-based (as per engagement)

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and document scientific and laboratory workflows, processes, and systems

  • Develop future-state workflows, data models, and gap analyses in collaboration with scientific stakeholders

  • Configure and implement workflows and data models in scientific platforms using system configuration tools

  • Deliver workflow documentation, reports, and technical outputs aligned with project SOW requirements

  • Work with client stakeholders to prioritize project deliverables and define implementation scope

  • Lead or support client workshops and requirement-gathering sessions

  • Design and execute test plans and support UAT (User Acceptance Testing)

  • Train end users and support onboarding activities

  • Provide ongoing system maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support

  • Act as a key client contact ensuring high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction

  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams and build strong stakeholder relationships

  • Support proposal development and effort estimation for new and existing projects

  • Contribute to solution design for new workflows and future project enhancements

  • Manage complex scientific concepts and translate them into technical system solutions

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of scientific or laboratory informatics workflows

  • Experience working with life sciences data systems and digital platforms

  • Ability to translate scientific requirements into system configurations and workflows

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and system configuration

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills in dynamic environments

  • Ability to anticipate issues and propose effective solutions proactively

  • Strong collaboration skills across technical and scientific teams

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools

Preferred Technical Experience

  • Hands-on experience with platforms such as Benchling, Dotmatics, IDBS, Sapio, or LabWare

  • Experience configuring and managing systems such as ELN, Sample Management, Inventory, Workflow, Molecular Design, Reporting, or Automation modules

  • Familiarity with workflow design tools such as Lucidchart or Smartsheet

  • Exposure to SDK/API-based integrations is an advantage (not mandatory)

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Chemistry, or related discipline

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum: 4–5 years of relevant experience in life sciences informatics or scientific systems roles

  • At least 2+ years of hands-on experience in configuring, deploying, or managing scientific informatics platforms is required

  • Experience independently supporting enterprise-level scientific systems is strongly preferred
