Role Overview

As a Senior Consultant in Patient Services, Trade & Distribution, you will join a high-growth consulting environment and collaborate closely with senior internal teams and client stakeholders. You will help solve complex business challenges in biotech and pharmaceuticals, delivering actionable insights and strategic recommendations that shape commercial success.

This role requires strong analytical capabilities, industry knowledge, and the ability to translate data and research into clear, impactful client deliverables.


Key Responsibilities

  • Execute assigned project workstreams independently and accurately

  • Conduct primary and secondary research and synthesize findings

  • Build and apply analytical tools to support decision-making

  • Develop client-ready presentations and deliverables in PowerPoint

  • Identify insights, opportunities, risks, and strategic recommendations

  • Communicate findings clearly to internal teams and senior client stakeholders

  • Maintain accountability for high-quality and timely delivery of project tasks


Core Skill Areas

Patient Services

  • Deep understanding of hub services, including benefits verification, prior authorization, appeals, copay assistance, PAPs, and free drug programs

  • Familiarity with hub vendors (e.g., AssistRx, Lash Group, CareMetx, TrialCard/Mercalis) and build vs. buy strategies

  • Experience designing patient support models across oncology, rare disease, and specialty immunology

  • Knowledge of adherence and persistence programs, nurse educator and FRM models, and patient engagement solutions

  • Understanding of key performance metrics such as time-to-therapy, approval rates, and abandonment rates

Trade & Distribution

  • Knowledge of channel strategy across wholesalers (Cardinal, McKesson, Cencora), specialty distributors, and specialty pharmacies (Accredo, CVS Specialty, Optum, LDD networks)

  • Understanding of DSAs, fee-for-service models, chargebacks, inventory management, and 340B dynamics

  • Familiarity with pricing concepts such as WAC, ASP, net price, gross-to-net, Medicaid best price, and IRA impacts

  • Experience with distribution model design (open, limited, exclusive)

Distribution & Supply Chain

  • Knowledge of cold chain logistics and specialty product handling

  • Understanding of DSCSA, serialization, and compliance requirements

  • Experience with returns and recalls processes

  • Familiarity with REMS program logistics

  • Exposure to cell and gene therapy supply chain flows (apheresis to infusion chain of custody)


Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (PhD, MD, MBA, MS) with 2+ years of consulting experience, or

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of consulting experience

  • Additional 3+ years of biopharma industry experience preferred

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional team environments

  • Strong time management and project ownership abilities


Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $140,000 – $160,000 (based on experience)

  • Performance-based incentive compensation
