About the Role

The Senior Scientific Writer – HEVA will develop and manage scientific and value-based communication materials aligned with HEVA strategies across multiple therapeutic areas. Working closely with global and local HEVA, RWE, and scientific communication teams, the role requires expertise in health economics, value assessment frameworks, and scientific writing for global publications.

You will contribute to end-to-end publication development, maintain Core Value Decks, support dossier preparation, and ensure compliance with publication SOPs and organizational guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Content Development

  • Create HEVA communication deliverables including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and slide decks.

  • Align scientific content with global HEVA communication plans and strategic objectives.

  • Maintain and regularly update Core Value Decks, ensuring synthesis of critical HEVA evidence across products.

  • Manage publication processes in systems such as iEnvision (formerly Datavision/Matrix).

  • Develop publication materials following Good Publication Practice guidelines and internal SOPs.

Strategic & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with HEVA, RWE, and global scientific communication teams to identify publication needs.

  • Contribute to Core Value Dossiers, AMCP Dossiers, and submissions as required.

  • Provide strategic communication support to global and regional teams.

Process Excellence

  • Conduct publication needs analysis for assigned therapeutic areas.

  • Ensure adherence to publication SOPs and compliance expectations.

  • Implement annual publication plans and monitor deliverable timelines and quality.

  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely development of high-quality outputs.

Leadership & Mentoring

  • Guide and mentor junior HEVA writers to strengthen scientific writing capabilities.

  • Support knowledge sharing, training, and capability building across teams.

  • Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders and healthcare professionals.

Experience Required

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in scientific/medical writing, health economics communication, or related areas within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

  • Experience in developing publication materials, including manuscripts, posters, and value communication content.

  • Proven ability to work in cross-functional and global matrix environments.

  • Strong understanding of Good Publication Practice, HEVA frameworks, and health economics principles.

Technical Skills

  • Expertise in health economics, public health, epidemiology, or relevant scientific disciplines.

  • Proficiency with publication management tools such as iEnvision.

  • Strong understanding of value dossiers, AMCP guidelines, and evidence communication frameworks.

  • Excellent written and spoken English.

Education

  • Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, public health, epidemiology, or a related scientific discipline.

  • Medical degree is an added advantage.

Soft Skills

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in global teams.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent scientific documentation and organizational skills.
