Senior Scientific Manager / Senior Scientific Director – Medical Communications
Location: US-Remote (Preferably NE US)

Role Overview

This senior leadership role involves managing and executing high-quality medical publications and communications projects while fostering team collaboration and client relationships. The position requires adaptability, innovative thinking, and in-depth knowledge of therapeutic areas, product development, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Oversight (50%):

    • Ensure client satisfaction with high-quality scientific deliverables.
    • Provide strategic insights, product expertise, and proactive contributions.
    • Review and maintain content accuracy, scientific rigor, and alignment with objectives.
  • Team Management & Mentoring (25%):

    • Guide scientific staff, manage project timelines, and ensure resource availability.
    • Oversee high-quality standards, solve inefficiencies, and enhance team performance.
  • Client & Strategic Support (25%):

    • Act as a strategic bridge between product development and deliverables.
    • Build and maintain relationships with authors, experts, and clients.
    • Identify new business opportunities and support client growth.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Advanced degree (PhD preferred).
  • 5–7 years of high-level medical content development and management experience.
  • CMPP™/MAPPS Certification preferred.
  • Proven client management, leadership, and mentoring skills.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard resources (e.g., PubMed, clinicaltrials.gov).
