The Position:

As a Global Medical Advisor at Novo Nordisk, you will be pivotal in providing strategic and medical guidance across a portfolio of products, while actively contributing to the APAC Medical Affairs team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • PDP Process: Play a lead role as PDP Secretary, driving the PDP process at the regional level.

  • Scientific Data: Generate, interpret, and communicate scientific data to ensure proper use of Novo Nordisk products.

  • Clinical Importance: Analyze new findings and their impact on future treatments for diabetes, obesity, rare diseases, and OSCD.

  • Medical Guidance: Provide timely, accurate, and credible scientific guidance across medical affairs focus areas to internal and external stakeholders.


Management Responsibilities:

You will also contribute to managing key operations and collaborations, including:

  • Team Collaboration: Facilitate effective coordination within the APAC Medical Affairs team.

  • KOL Engagement: Serve as a liaison between Novo Nordisk and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).

  • Policy Communication: Ensure alignment with Novo Nordisk's policies and procedures in collaboration with internal teams.

  • Training & Development: Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training new colleagues.

  • Scientific Content Development: Oversee content creation for meetings and events initiated by the APAC Medical & Scientific Affairs team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • KOL & Association Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with Global Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and provide input for Health Care Professional (HCP) strategies.

  • Advisory Board Contributions: Plan and execute meetings, supporting KOLs in presenting Novo Nordisk data at scientific conferences and symposia.

  • Medical Guidance: Develop a wide range of medical guidance documents and digital resources (e.g., e-learning).

  • Stakeholder Communication: Engage with stakeholders, including regulatory, public affairs, marketing, and global safety teams.


Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • M.D. with substantial clinical and/or research expertise, particularly in Endocrinology, Cardiology, or Internal Medicine.

  • Strong background in diabetes mellitus with experience in drug development.

  • At least 2 years of clinical and/or pharmaceutical industry experience.

  • A proven ability to communicate complex scientific information effectively, both written and spoken, in English.

  • Demonstrated research experience, such as publications in relevant fields.

The Global Medical Affairs team in Bangalore serves as an extension of the Global Medical Affairs headquarters in Denmark. This team collaborates with various departments, including marketing, regulatory, and medical affairs across global affiliates. The department focuses on scientific communication, content development, project management, and publication planning for external medical events.
