Senior Auditor, Quality Assurance – Remote (India)

Job Summary
ICON plc, a global leader in clinical research and healthcare intelligence, is hiring a Senior Quality Assurance Auditor to lead audit, compliance, and inspection readiness activities for clinical trials. This remote role from Bangalore, Chennai, or Trivandrum offers experienced QA professionals a platform to enforce global GCP standards, manage regulatory inspections, and strengthen the quality framework across pharmaceutical and clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and investigate complex quality issues, including CAPA planning and implementation
Lead and host regulatory inspections and sponsor audits
Conduct internal and external quality audits in alignment with GCP and ICH standards
Train and mentor QA staff on regulatory compliance and SOPs
Assist in developing and maintaining ICON’s Quality Management System
Support clinical operations in root cause analysis and quality improvement
Generate quality reports, manage effectiveness checks, and ensure audit traceability
Collaborate with global project teams to ensure continuous compliance
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ experience in QA, clinical research, regulatory affairs, or pharmacovigilance
Deep understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory frameworks
Bachelor’s degree in science, life sciences, auditing, or equivalent experience
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to host sponsor/regulatory audits independently
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentoring capabilities
Must be fluent in English (written and verbal)
Experience with inspection readiness and audit follow-up required
