Job Overview

Sun Pharma is seeking a Senior Product Manager – Anti-Infectives to drive brand strategy, marketing excellence, and portfolio growth in the emerging markets segment. The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking with operational execution, leveraging market analytics, KOL engagement, and promotional planning to ensure therapy leadership and sustainable business growth.

This role offers hands-on field exposure, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the opportunity to shape innovative strategies at the intersection of patient care, digital marketing, and pharmacy outreach.


Key Responsibilities

Brand & Marketing Strategy

  • Develop annual brand and therapy plans, incorporating in-clinic, digital, pharmacy, and patient-level strategies aligned with global business objectives

  • Translate strategies into actionable promotional campaigns, ensuring brand leadership, customer loyalty, and team motivation

  • Analyze product life-cycle and market opportunities to optimally allocate resources across therapies and brands

Market Analysis & Insights

  • Conduct market research, analyzing IQVIA data, prescription trends, competitor strategies, and internal sales to monitor brand health

  • Identify therapeutic gaps and potential opportunities at HCP, patient, and therapy levels

  • Continuously evaluate promotional effectiveness and modify strategies based on market trends, dynamics, and financial performance

Field & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Key Brand Leaders (KBLs) to build relationships and gather actionable market insights

  • Support successful new product launches and portfolio management initiatives

  • Collaborate with sales teams to guide execution and improve in-clinic performance

Resource Management & Reporting

  • Analyze internal and external data to drive business decisions and optimize marketing effectiveness

  • Ensure timely communication of strategy, plans, and results to stakeholders and leadership


Job Requirements

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s in Pharmacy (B.Pharm)

  • MBA in Marketing

Experience

  • 5–8 years in pharmaceutical marketing with demonstrated experience in anti-infectives or related therapeutic areas

  • Strong experience in brand management, market analysis, and field engagement

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights

  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

  • Knowledge of emerging markets dynamics, promotional planning, and pharmaceutical regulations

  • Willingness to travel up to 30% for field visits and stakeholder meetings
