Role Overview

The Senior Oncology Account Manager (OAM) for the Cleveland/Akron/Canton territory plays a key role in driving oncology product adoption and building strong, long-term relationships with healthcare providers, medical groups, hospitals, and academic centers. The OAM serves as a clinical and business leader, delivering approved disease and product information while maintaining high ethical and compliance standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales performance by meeting or exceeding territory goals, effectively positioning Genmab’s oncology portfolio.

  • Develop and implement territory business plans based on performance metrics, account data, and market insights.

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare providers, office staff, and other key stakeholders.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in hybrid engagement strategies (virtual and in-person), adapting to account preferences.

  • Provide disease-state and product expertise, including competitor landscape awareness, and communicate value effectively across all channels.

  • Navigate the reimbursement landscape and fulfillment pathways for oncology injectable therapies.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, corporate policies, and ethical standards.

  • Collaborate within matrix teams, sharing knowledge and contributing to overall team success.

  • Manage territory resources, budget, and prioritize high-impact activities for patient benefit.


Requirements

  • BS/BA Degree in any discipline.

  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience with 3+ years in oncology (hematology experience preferred).

  • Proven success in oncology product launches.

  • Demonstrated ability in account management, territory planning, and sales execution.

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret market data and adjust territory strategies.

  • Effective communication, organizational, and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Veeva, and other relevant tools.

  • Flexibility to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.

  • Must reside within the assigned territory: Cleveland/Akron/Canton, OH.


Compensation & Benefits (U.S.)

Salary Range: $160,000 – $240,000 annually (based on experience and location)
