Senior Medical Research Associate – Lenexa, KS (On-site)

Job Summary:
ICON plc, a global leader in clinical research and healthcare intelligence, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Medical Research Associate for an on-site role in Lenexa, KS. In this role, you will support clinical trials by performing vitals, phlebotomy, and ensuring the well-being of study participants while strictly following protocol. Ideal for licensed paramedics or those with clinical research or healthcare experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and screen clinical research volunteers as they arrive.

  • Measure and document height, weight, BMI, and vital signs.

  • Perform phlebotomy as required per study protocol.

  • Chaperone study participants during their breaks or off-clinic activities.

  • Adhere to clinical protocols and maintain participant comfort and safety.

  • Attend and contribute to team meetings and assignments.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical or clinical field.

  • Active paramedic license required.

  • High school diploma or GED; degree in clinical or health-related field preferred.

  • Certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) or Phlebotomist Certification are highly desirable.

  • Fluent in English (and the host country language, if applicable).

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
