Position Overview

The Senior Medical Lead Cardiovascular will be instrumental in shaping and advancing Bayer's cardiorenal franchise, focusing on Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). The position is key to creating and executing medical strategies, engaging with thought leaders, contributing to scientific communities, and aligning with cross-functional teams to maximize product value and optimize patient outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Development

  • Lead the creation of a comprehensive medical strategy for Cardiovascular, particularly Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), ensuring scientific communication and differentiation.

2. Expert Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in Nephrology, Cardiology, Endocrinology, and Primary Care.

  • Organize and support scientific events, gathering insights from healthcare professionals (HCPs) and KOLs.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with clinical development, commercial, regulatory, market access, and real-world evidence teams to ensure alignment and drive successful outcomes.

4. Medical Expertise

  • Provide in-depth cardiovascular disease knowledge to develop educational materials and ensure scientific accuracy.

5. Publication Strategy

  • Contribute to the global Publication Strategy and Plan, guiding the creation of high-quality educational content and training programs.

6. Compliance & Research Analysis

  • Review and ensure compliance in promotional materials.

  • Analyze clinical studies and real-world evidence, providing actionable insights to internal and external stakeholders.

7. Market Analysis

  • Monitor market trends, competitor landscape, and evolving treatment paradigms related to CKD management.


Qualifications

  • Medical Degree with several years of experience in medical affairs within a global healthcare organization.

  • Expertise in Cardiology or Nephrology, with Board certification preferred.

  • Experience in clinical trials, real-world evidence, and familiarity with market access requirements.

  • Strong project management skills and research proficiency.

  • Fluency in English (both oral and written).
