Position Overview

The Senior Medical Lead Cardiovascular will play a key role in shaping and advancing Bayer's cardiorenal franchise with a special focus on Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). The position involves the creation of a comprehensive medical strategy, fostering relationships with thought leaders and key opinion leaders (KOLs), and ensuring the delivery of high-quality scientific and medical communication. The role also involves cross-functional collaboration, research analysis, and guiding clinical and market access strategies to maximize product value and patient outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Development

  • Lead the creation and execution of a medical strategy for Cardiovascular, particularly in Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), ensuring scientific differentiation

  • Maximize scientific communication to enhance product positioning

2. Expert Engagement

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in Nephrology, Cardiology, Endocrinology, and Primary Care

  • Gather insights from healthcare professionals and organize impactful scientific events

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with clinical development, commercial, regulatory, market access, and real-world evidence teams to ensure alignment and successful outcomes

4. Medical Expertise

  • Provide in-depth cardiovascular disease knowledge to develop educational materials and ensure scientific accuracy

5. Publication & Research

  • Contribute to the global Publication Strategy and Plan

  • Analyze clinical studies and real-world evidence to provide actionable insights

6. Compliance & Market Analysis

  • Ensure compliance in promotional materials

  • Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor landscape in CKD management

7. Innovative Solutions

  • Identify innovative practices and quality metrics to improve patient outcomes in CKD


Qualifications

  • Medical Degree and several years of experience in medical affairs in a global healthcare organization

  • Expertise in Cardiology or Nephrology, with Board certification preferred

  • Experience in clinical trials and real-world studies with a focus on evidence generation

  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail

  • Fluency in English, with excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and collaborate across teams
