The Opportunity:
The Senior Medical and Clinical Director will join the team in Alameda, CA, as part of Abbott’s next-generation Lingo Biowearables venture. This cutting-edge division leverages biomarker technology to provide insights into physical and mental states, driving improved performance and well-being.
This position involves leading medical affairs and clinical research teams, contributing to regulatory and strategic direction, and serving as a visible face for the division at public events and within the medical community.
Responsibilities:
Leadership of Medical Affairs and Clinical Research:
Oversee hiring, strategy, team goals, performance, and budget for medical and clinical research teams.
Report outcomes to divisional leadership and align contributions with product direction and R&D priorities.
Medical Affairs Leadership:
Develop medical claims matrices and educational content across platforms.
Manage literature reviews, outreach to medical key opinion leaders (KOLs), and scientific advisory boards.
Represent the division at conferences, public events, and in media.
Clinical Research Leadership:
Plan and execute clinical trials and real-world evidence (RWE) studies.
Develop protocols, recruit and manage investigators, and ensure compliance with IRB requirements.
Oversee trial safety, data collection, statistical analysis, and reporting/publication of outcomes.
Regulatory and Strategic Contributions:
Contribute to regulatory filings, quality management reviews, publications strategies, and customer safety monitoring.
Support intellectual property and patent strategy development.
Qualifications:
Education: Doctorate Degree (MD required).
Experience: 10+ years with expert-level knowledge of medicine and clinical research.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional medical and clinical teams.
Preferred Skills:
Expertise in biomarker technology and innovation in wearable health solutions.
Strong presentation and communication skills for public and professional audiences.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $211,600.00 – $423,200.00 (location-based variations may apply).
