What You Will Do:
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role, you will provide medical review of Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) to support safety surveillance for Amgen products and ensure global regulatory reporting compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise 1-10 staff in Amgen India, supporting medical review and Pharmacovigilance Operations activities as required.

  • Assure medical validity of ICSRs and provide expertise to the Medical Safety Review Team (MSRT).

  • Implement medical review of ICSRs (narratives, coding, expectedness, causality, and seriousness) to ensure quality reports.

  • Act as a point of contact between Case Management and Global Safety Officers (GSOs) on medical content and regulatory reporting of ICSRs.

  • Handle direct reports and escalate topics to GPS Senior Leadership as needed.

  • Complete medical review of ICSRs to produce medically accurate reports.

  • Act as MSRT product lead as assigned.

  • Manage ICSR case issues with Global Safety Officers as appropriate.

  • Ensure compliance with medical coding conventions and drive process improvements.

  • Conduct reportability assessments for medical device and product complaint-associated events.

  • Maintain and monitor compliance of the auto-label tool updates.

  • Support Quality Assurance of ICSR medical review processes.

  • Lead activities for the training and implementation of new processes in MSRT.

  • Provide training and mentorship to Amgen employees, vendor staff, and junior medical reviewers.

  • Support MSRT vendor leads in managing and training vendors in ICSR medical review.

  • Provide expertise for cross-functional initiatives, including SOP creation, standards development, and metrics.

  • Perform other duties related to the position as defined in SOPs or as requested by the supervisor.

Inspection Readiness:

  • Undertake activities delegated by the QPPV as detailed in the PV System Master File.

  • Maintain a state of inspection readiness.

  • Act as a representative and point of contact for Health Authority Inspections and Internal Process Audits.


What We Expect of You:
Basic Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree and 2 years of relevant experience OR

  • Master’s degree and 8 to 10 years of relevant experience OR

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 to 14 years of relevant experience OR

  • Diploma and 14 to 18 years of relevant experience
