Senior Expert Science & Technology – Analytical R&D (Hyderabad, India)
Job Summary:
Novartis is seeking an experienced Senior Expert in Science & Technology to join its Global Analytical R&D team in Hyderabad. This role is integral to advancing innovative solid oral dosage (OSD) forms by bridging analytical science with clinical outcomes. If you have extensive experience in analytical development, regulatory knowledge, and a passion for impactful science, this opportunity is tailored for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, plan, and perform analytical experiments for drug substances and products across clinical phases.
Monitor degradation pathways and establish shelf-life of pharmaceutical products.
Prepare and interpret technical documentation in line with global regulatory guidelines.
Maintain adherence to GLP, ALCOA+ principles, and Novartis quality and safety standards.
Lead equipment qualification, periodic calibration, and laboratory sustainability practices.
Mentor junior scientists and contribute to team meetings, trainings, and cross-functional collaborations.
Drive proactive communication and investigation of analytical issues with global stakeholders.
Implement lean and sustainable practices to improve laboratory efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
M.Pharm./M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field.
Ph.D. with 4+ years or M.Sc. with 12+ years of relevant experience in solid oral dosage form testing.
In-depth knowledge of ICH guidelines (e.g., Q2(R1)), QbD principles, and regulatory expectations.
Proficiency in scientific documentation, technical writing, and literature search.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Experience with GLP, GMP, and global regulatory compliance.
