Job Summary:
Novartis Healthcare is hiring a Senior Expert in Science & Technology to join its innovative Analytical R&D division in Hyderabad, India. This role focuses on designing, planning, and performing scientific and technical studies to support drug substance and drug product development. Candidates will contribute significantly to transforming molecules into breakthrough medicines that improve and extend patients’ lives globally.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, plan, and conduct scientific experiments for drug substances and products at various clinical phases with minimal supervision.
Monitor degradation pathways and shelf-life of products in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Interpret scientific data, technology transfer findings, and generate conclusive reports.
Ensure adherence to quality metrics, documentation standards, GLP, ALCOA+ principles, OQM, HSE, and ISEC guidelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deliverables and timelines.
Mentor new team members and actively participate in team meetings and networks.
Oversee equipment qualification (URS to Report) and periodic calibrations as per SOPs.
Implement lean, efficient, and sustainable laboratory practices.
Conduct investigations and maintain clear communication with global stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
PhD in a technical subject with 4+ years of relevant experience or M.Sc./M.Pharm with 12+ years of relevant experience in solid oral dosage form testing.
Expertise in ICH guidelines (Q2(R1)), Quality by Design (QbD) principles, and analytical development processes.
Strong knowledge of laboratory tools, technical instruments, and relevant software.
Proficient in scientific literature searches and regulatory documentation.
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and global stakeholder management.
