Role Overview

The Senior Executive – Medical Information is responsible for delivering high-quality, compliant medical information services to both external healthcare professionals (HCPs) and internal stakeholders. This includes providing accurate responses to medical inquiries, supporting global and regional affiliates, and ensuring alignment with legal, regulatory, and company standards.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe and effective use of Advanz Pharma products by facilitating timely, scientifically accurate medical communication.


Key Responsibilities

Medical Information Management:

  • Provide timely, compliant, and scientifically accurate medical information to unsolicited requests via phone, email, or other media for HCPs and internal teams.

  • Manage Medical Information services for Australian and New Zealand affiliates in line with local procedures.

  • Oversee Level 1 medical information activities conducted by external vendors, ensuring quality, adherence to SOPs, and compliance with pharmacovigilance and product complaint reporting.

  • Develop, update, and maintain standard medical response documents (FAQs, Medical Letters).

Training and Support:

  • Deliver product and medical information training to vendors and internal teams.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate, evidence-based responses.

  • Support affiliates and partners in medical information reconciliation and reporting activities.

Scientific Monitoring and Updates:

  • Conduct literature reviews, including PubMed searches, congress updates, and clinical trial findings.

  • Maintain and reorganize scientific databases to ensure timely access to relevant medical information.

  • Support preparation of quality documents such as SOPs and work instructions.

Compliance and Quality Oversight:

  • Ensure proper identification and reporting of spontaneous adverse drug reactions (ADRs) and product quality complaints.

  • Monitor compliance with global, regional, and local regulations, including relevant Codes of Practice.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within Medical Information processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with global partners, internal teams, and stakeholders across different time zones.

  • Foster a culture of teamwork, entrepreneurship, and accountability aligned with Advanz Pharma values.


Candidate Profile

Education and Qualifications:

  • Science Graduate (Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, or equivalent) or

  • Registered Pharmacist or Medical Doctor

Experience Required:

  • Significant experience (2–5 years) in Medical Information, Medical Writing, or a related medical/scientific role.

  • Hands-on experience in Medical Writing, Medical Asset Development, and Critical Appraisal of Clinical Literature.

  • Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations governing Medical Information functions (e.g., ABPI Code).

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong scientific/medical knowledge with the ability to communicate complex information effectively.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

  • Proven organizational skills, with the ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

  • Customer-focused, proactive, self-driven, and solution-oriented.

  • Competent in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other analytical tools.

  • Ability to collaborate across global teams and diverse cultures.
